Uplay Plus. Kolejny dowód na to, że gracze pokochali usługi abonamentowe
Podczas tegorocznych targów E3 Ubisoft ogłosił, że zamierza wejść na rynek z własną usługą abonamentową, oferując dostęp do określonej biblioteki gier w ramach comiesięcznej opłaty. Tak, jak od pewnego czasu robią to Microsoft (Game Pass) czy EA (Origin Access). Wreszcie poznajemy szczegółowe warunki tej oferty, a także listę gier.
Uplay Plus, jak nazwano usługę, zaoferuje wszystkie najnowsze hity Ubisoftu. Nie będzie to więc katalog staroci, ale pełnoprawna alternatywa dla osób kupujących premiery.
Francuska firma obiecuje łącznie ponad 100 gier, w tym nadchodzące "Tom Clancy's Breakpoint" czy "Watch Dogs Legion". Innymi słowy: wszystko to, co można znaleźć w ofercie sklepiku Uplay i do czego Ubisoft ma pełne prawa jako twórca/wydawca/dystrybutor.
Koszt to 14,99 dol. za miesiąc. Cena w złotówkach nie jest jeszcze znana, ale kosztujący także 14,99 dol. Origin Access Premier w Polsce wiąże się z wydatkiem rzędu 60 zł. I tak zapewne będzie też w przypadku Uplay Plus. Przy czym mając na uwadze aktualne ceny nowych gier, które potrafią sięgać nawet 200 - 250 zł, oferta abonamentowa brzmi co najmniej intrygująco.
Nic dziwnego, że coraz większa liczba graczy decyduje się na taką właśnie formę zakupu. W listopadzie 2018 roku Microsoft chwalił się "milionami aktywnych użytkowników Game Pass", zanim jeszcze usługa wyszła poza Xboksa One. To literalnie musi się opłacać.
Premiera Uplay Plus datowana jest na 3 września. Lista gier na start usługi widnieje poniżej. Nowe tytuły dochodzić będą do bazy w momencie debiutu w regularnej sprzedaży.
